Fight For Our Wilderness

This award winning documentary tells the story of how Minnesota's Boundary Waters - America's most visited wilderness area - was saved from logging and mining through years of debate and compromise. The film focuses on the 1978 Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness Act, showing how environmentalists, local businesses, and politicians eventually found common ground to protect over a million acres of pristine lakes and forests for future generations. The story continues today as the area faces new challenges from proposed mining projects.

The Minneosta Model

This documentary explores the birth and impact of the Minnesota Model, a groundbreaking approach to addiction treatment that emerged in the 1950s. The film shows how three Minnesota treatment centers - Pioneer House, Hazelden, and Willmar State Hospital - revolutionized alcoholism care by treating addiction with dignity and respect, rather than as a moral failing. Their innovative approach combined Alcoholics Anonymous principles with professional medical care, creating a model that would go on to influence thousands of treatment programs worldwide. The story demonstrates how this shift in treating addiction helped overcome decades of stigma and created lasting change in how society views and helps those struggling with alcoholism.
